From this activity, I was able to learn numerous this about even and odd functions. Starting with how they're similar, They're alike because of the way they both are normally one line and they all cross the X-axis. The way they're different, however is that the ends on the odd functions end going in opposite directions while even functions go the same direction. Proven by this example:
Ok so the question is, would the ball make it into the hoop? My original answer was no because i thought it arched too high and wouldn't even reach the hoop. But now my answer is yes, it will go through the hoop. After graphing it, you can see that the ball arches just enough to make it in the hoop. Honestly, google docs wouldn't let me save the image unless it was part of the presentation so this graph is distorted from that.
In other news, google presentation is so bad. don't make me use that again. Also I couldn't find the questions so i'm assuming that seeing if the ball would make it was the only one. P.S. If you answer this in class saying "LOL it won't make it because i was actually 10 feet behind the hoop itself so i was actually just throwing a ball in mid air at an arch" I will probably not care but will do that weird groaning cow noise i do all the time but it will go for at least 10mins. P.S.S. I got out of bed to do this and i'm barely awake. Goodnight,. |
